About Bianca Woodard- Founder

Bianca A. Woodard is an educator, curriculum architect, and cultural intellectual dedicated to advancing rigorous, culturally grounded education rooted in Black history, critical thinking, and ethical innovation.

With over a decade of experience in secondary social studies education, Bianca has taught African American Studies, AP Human Geography, AP World History: Modern, U.S. Government, Economics, and World History at both the middle and high school levels. She is currently a Social Studies educator at Midland Valley High School in South Carolina, where her work centers on historically accurate, primary-source-driven instruction and student-centered inquiry

Professional Preparation & Credentials

Bianca holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Augusta University and maintains multiple advanced certifications, including:

  • Gifted and Talented Education (College of Charleston)
  • AP Human Geography APSI Certification
  • AP World History: Modern APSI Certification

She has participated in extensive professional learning and fieldwork experiences through institutions such as:

Her training spans African American history, Asian history, Holocaust studies, Reconstruction-era scholarship, and teaching with primary documents and graphic novels

Bianca’s commitment to education extends beyond the classroom. She is a recognized instructional leader and advocate, having earned:

  • Aiken County Teacher of the Year Finalist (Top 5, 2021)
  • Centropa Teaching the Holocaust Border Jumping Project Award (2021)
